The votes are in, and we’re excited to announce the winner of our Capture The Love, Win a Masterpiece Pet Photo Contest is Hope Hill! Read on to discover the story behind the photo….
Hope and her cat Jazzy stole the show with their incredible photo of Jazzy strolling on the shoreline in the Outer Banks, NC, earning the most votes from our amazing community! As the grand prize winner, Hope will receive a custom portrait of the stunning Jazzy, created by the supremely talented Pet Perspectives – pet portraits by Nicole.
It’s so unusual to see a cat walking on a beach – what a special shot it was! We loved hearing a bit more about Jazzy from Hope and the amazing adventures they have together…
“Her name is Jazzy and her nickname is Monkey Cat. She is a Savannah. She just turned a year in October. The picture was her first walk and trip on the beach. We took her to the Outer Banks, NC. It was also her first time in a hotel. She is more of a mountain and camping girl. I leashed trained her as soon as she came home and we have to walk her almost daily (she is always on a leash or playing in her large covered and fenced play area). She loves hiking in the woods or walking and playing at the lake. She has learned how to fetch, camp, hike, swim, kayak and go boating this past year. She is a very vocal, hyper and fun part of the family. Her two favorite things she drags around and travels with are her pink monkey blanket and a duck. I could go on forever about her. We let her walk her way. I haven’t figured out how to get her to follow me. I follow her. She loves to walk with my husband.”
A special shout out to our runner up Morgan Wright, who captured a fab shot of fun loving and extremely photogenic Yeti on a lakeside hike at Wrights Lake in El Dorado County, CA! It was about 45° out and he loves to swim no matter to the temperature!
A huge thank you to everyone who participated—whether you submitted a photo, voted, or supported the contest. The love for animals in our community is truly heartwarming!
Stay tuned for updates on the finished portrait, and once again, congratulations to Hope and Jazzy and Morgan and Yeti!
