HomeoPet Clinical Trials:
The United Kingdom:
HomeoPet® is currently running a series trials in the United Kingdom as part of a PHD program, which is being overseen by Professor Daniel Mills. These trials are being run to the highest standards, and comply with the double blinded placebo protocol that is accepted as the de-facto standard in drug testing. The trials involve both researchers employed by HomeoPet® as well as independent researchers to ensure accurate results.
The initial trial, to set a base line for the follow on trials, has been published in the veterinary record. The remaining trials in this series leading to the PHD paper are currently in the process of preparation for publication.
Australia:
Trials are ongoing in Australia, while the trials in the U.K. focused on fireworks as a form of noise phobia, the Australian trials further expand on HomeoPet®’s research into anxiety symptoms and noise phobia in animals. The Australian trials have focused on storm phobia, more particularly thunderstorms and the breeds thus affected.
These trials involved yet again blinded placebo controlled testing and are being overseen by Kirsti Seksel, initial data from these trials has already been submitted for preliminary publication.
Pre-Clinical Trials
United Kingdom & Ireland:
A pre-clinical trial was run in the U.K. and Ireland, these trials were run to establish reasonable grounds for full clinical trial research. The results of these trials indicated that there is a measurable efficacy from a homeopathic product, this established that there was an effect from a homeopathic that had a label claim for Anxiety when used to treat anxiety and fear symptoms in response to fireworks.
These trials were overseen by Dr. Peter Nowlan of Trinity College Dublin, and were published as a letter in the Irish veterinary news.
